The present study aims to account for the moss flora of Chail Wildlife Sanctuary, district Solan, Himachal Pradesh (HP). Frequent field visits were made in different seasons collect samples. Ecological data like temperature, humidity, and habitat preferences also recorded at time collection. A total 31 species belonging 22 genera 15 families so far. family Pottiaceae (7 spp.) was most dominant one, followed by Brachytheciaceae (4 spp.), Polytrichaceae, Fissidentaceae, Entodontaceae with (3 each. In acrocarpous mosses, highly dominant, whereas, among pleurocarpous mosses family, dominant. Among genera, Atrichum P. Beauv. (Acrocarpous), Fissidens Hedw. Entodon C. Muell.
